BSSScribe – a Tengwar, Cirth and Glagolitic transcriber was updated.
The following changes were made since the last update:
New:
- now it's possible to use letters with diaresis in English orthographic mode, e.g. word “naïve”;
- few more IPA buttons for English phonemic modes.
Fixes:
- tehtar for raw codes {o} and {u} were swapped since the very first release of this feature;
- options for swapping e with i and o with u produced wrong results on long vowels;
- silme ligature with Tengwar Eldamar font now appears only in consonant clusters (e.g. in “strong”, but not in “Sir”);
- restricted ligating lambe glyph of Tengwar Annatar Italic and Eldamar fonts to appear only before first six Tengwar grades (rows) and other lambe;
- double curls were doubled (total 4 curls for one long o or u) in Tengwar Beleriand and Elfica fonts;
- some raw codes for alternative characters in Tengwar Beleriand and Elfica fonts were wrong;
- fixed the issues with pseudo graphics in Cirth modes broken long ago, but had to restrict “raw” codes for Cirth to be enclosed only by single or double braces { };
- double L is now transcribed with alda in English Orthographic mode;
- some tweaks in phonemic “Westron” mode for English;
- alternative form of osse could wrongly appear in Sindarin Later Convention mode;
- options for long vowels are now reset to defaults when changing Tengwar mode;
- some minor UI issues.
